He also wrote the best seller, Cracking the Metabolic Code: 9 Keys to Optimal Health. We will discuss the effects of having our bodies become too acidic and how to become more alkaline. My first guest is nutritionist, Ann Louise Gittleman, a New York Times bestselling author of over 30 books on diet, detox, the environment, and women's health. Nov 4th , 2017 -As you know there is a horrifying national increase in addiction to opioid drugs. Are people just using those more socially-acceptable pills instead of heroin and cocaine? Or are we witnessing the birth of a whole new population of addicts introduced to the habit by their doctors? What can be done on the personal and policy level? My guest is Scott Gillet, LSCW, CRNC. He is the founder of Briarcliff Institute for Recovery and Development in Briarcliff Manor, NY. Scott is a family and substance abuse therapist, a nutrition counselor, and an activist for a more humane and sensible approach to addiction treatment and policy. Mr. Gillet wrote True Bud, Understanding Toxic Marijuana Syndrome. This weekend he is is participating in an Alliance for Addiction Solutions conference (Salt Lake City).

Oct 28th , 2017 -As you will see in this week's blog, an under-functioning thyroid can be the cause of a great deal of trouble. That is because the thyroid hormone affects every organ and cell in the body. A great many people have thyroid problems, but don't know it. Furthermore, many who have been diagnosed with hypothyroid (low thyroid) have trouble getting their medication dosed correctly and resolving their symptoms. Bill Sardi has been investigating the problem and will tell us what he has learned, including some natural approaches. His ARTICLE.
Bill Sardi, is a brilliant and prolific author, science investigator, and crusader for sanity in health care. He is also the sharpest supplement formulator I have found. (For example: Longevinex 866-405-4000, Molecular Multi 800-247-5731, Garligest for heartburn and Garlinex 866-674-3955).

Oct 21st , 2017 -Thanks to the internet, health information is now global. My first guest, Johann Ilgenfritz is a great example (wish me luck pronouncing that). We will call him in England. He created an online radio network: UK Health Radio that features hosts from the US as well as the UK. Johann also publishes the online Health Triangle Magazine and is the developer of the WikiHealth resource. He started down this road following his successful fight against cancer. Next, my friend David Stouder will join me to discuss the two-way relationship between holiday foods and our intestinal bacteria. David has been involved in the natural foods industry for over 40 years and is a firm believer that our health is the result of decisions that we make every day in our lifestyles, diet, mental outlook, and nutritional supplementation.

Oct 14th , 2017 -Please tell anyone you know who has back trouble, knee pain, shoulder issues, arthritis, numbness in the feet or other health complaint to listen to this show. Stem cells are typically a better approach than surgery or even medication. (The pain drugs can be addictive. The steroid injections may reduce pain, but must be repeated and they may speed joint deterioration.) I am a fan of Human Umbilical Cord (HUC) stem cell regenerative therapy. It is the new frontier of the orthopedic field and beyond. This treatment not only eliminates the pain, but restores function and most amazingly, can regenerate the structure of the joints involved. Stem cells are also an incomparable anti-aging and beauty treatment. We will talk to doctors and patients about their experiences. My guests will sort out the different types of stem cells now being used and explain HUC which is the most effective, safest and surprisingly usually the least expensive option. I will give an offer for a free consultation--call 800-708-4385. Read my blog on Stem Cells. Note, there is a DFW-area seminar Tuesday November 7. Click this link to the Events Page for details.

Oct 7th , 2017 -You may have heard that curcumin (from the spice turmeric) has various health benefits. Given that it is cancer awareness month (aren't we are aware?), I want to examine claims that it may help fight cancer. I am happy to have a renowned cancer researcher as a resource. Among his impressive titles, Ajay Goel, Ph.D. is the Director of the Center for Gastrointestinal Research associated with Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas, TX.
My second guest is holistic dentist, Philip R. Kozlow, DDS. Since radiation is a known cause of cancer, I want to ask Dr. Kozlow about safe practices related to dental x-rays. Also, exposure to heavy metals like mercury is linked to cancer, so we will discuss the types of materials dentists use to restore teeth.

Sep 30th , 2017 -Wouldn't you want to know if there was something simple, safe, inexpensive and already available that would make a big difference for Alzheimer's patients? Bill Sardi found exciting research about just such a thing. First we'll talk about that and then open the phone lines (800-281-8255) for listener questions on any health topic (not prepared to repair). Bill Sardi, is a brilliant and prolific author, science investigator, and crusader for sanity in health care. He is also the sharpest supplement formulator I have found. Sep 23rd , 2017 -Women as well as men need the hormone testosterone. However, we will likely focus more on how guys suffer when their levels are low. You've probably heard TV commercials promoting testosterone for virility and physical strength. There is also a growing problem of infertility due to low sperm counts. I'll ask my first guest, Michael Schwartz about that and about natural remedies. Next, I will be more of a guest than host as a surprise co-host grills me about digestion, detoxification, probiotics and how we can learn what we need to know for optimum health.

Sep 16th , 2017 -Whom are we supposed to believe? Nutritionists and functional medicine experts strongly warn against eating GMO foods (genetically modified) and sound an alarm about use of Roundup® type weed killers...especially on crops. They link the chemicals to allergies, cancer, kidney / liver failure, birth defects, infertility and much more. On the other side (the likes of seed / chemical producer, Monsanto, and even our trusty government) says essentially "oh, don't worry your pretty little head about such things beyond your understanding...we wouldn't use them if they weren't safe". Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Senior Research Scientist, Stephanie Seneff, PhD, will help us sort fact from fiction on these crucial topics. If we have time, we may also talk about her interest in issues related to statin cholesterol drugs.
