April 15th, 2017 -Please believe that what I'm about to say is not hype, but rather how I honestly feel. This week's program may be the most thrilling we've ever aired. That is because we will discuss a medical breakthrough that gives hope not just to people with structural damage, but also to those with various dreaded diagnoses. I'll have several guests, so let me leave it at that for now. I wish there was a way that everyone could listen to this show.

She also offers this free report: 37 Cancer Facts That You Should Know--But Probably Don't

April 1st, 2017 -I'm going to ask President Trump about his views on nutrition. Just kidding. Saturday is April Fool's Day. My guest, Bill Sardi, is a genius nutrition expert, prolific passionate author and supplement formulator first class. I ask about a nutrient shown in some studies to reverse Parkinson's disease. I also want to know about food choices that increase the risk of Polycystic Ovary Disease STUDY. I will ask how to know if you have selected the best multivitamin. Listeners will want to know that a highly-advertised vision supplement only slows the progression of macular degeneration and makes it even worse for some groups. Link to his blog and longer articles.

March 25th, 2017 -We will cover two related topics this week. First up is Sandy Woodruff, MS, RD who is a co-author of Dr. Vlassara's AGE-Less Diet: How a Chemical in the Foods We Eat Promotes Disease, Obesity, and Aging and the Steps We Can Take to Stop It. "AGE" is a pun. It is obviously a measure of our getting older. But, they are also initials that describe something worrisome affecting our blood cells and our food. We will look at simple ways to reduce AGE's such as changing the way we cook food.
Then I will be joined by Tom Monte, author of: Unexpected Recoveries: Seven Steps to Healing Body, Mind, & Soul When Serious Illness Strikes. This book is based on his having talked with many hundreds of people who have overcome life-threatening illnesses, including end-stage cancers, heart disease, severe diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and other diseases using complementary healing methods.

March 18th, 2017 -Jim LaValle, R.Ph.,C.C.N. is author of Your Blood Never Lies: How to Read a Blood Test for a Longer, Healthier Life. He also wrote the best seller, Cracking the Metabolic Code: 9 Keys to Optimal Health. As a pharmacist, Certified Clinical Nutritionist, clinician and amazing investigator, he is well-qualified to speak on almost anything we could throw at him. But, why not talk about metabolic syndrome? Even if that name doesn't ring a bell, surely you know someone with one, two or three of the component conditions: insulin insensitivity (pre-diabetes), blood pressure creeping up and the big one (no pun planned) being overweight. Left unchecked, these issues can lead to a whole lot of major trouble. Mr. LaValle brings good news about a variety of things you can do to reverse the trends and start feeling a lot better along the way.

March 11th, 2017 -What an interesting show. I know because I recorded it earlier this week with a couple of peachy guests. Anthony Thomas, PHD fills in some more blanks on vitamin K. For example, why we need it for more than helping guide calcium into bones instead of arteries (as though that isn't enough). We also talk about why so many folks are not getting enough vitamin K and why we might want to supplement with 3 different types of it.
Then psychiatrist Hyla Cass, MD and I talk about how she helps people with mental health issues and addictions by using natural supplements instead of psych drugs. She wrote a fascinating article in Huffington Post about how the perpetrators of grizzly crimes that we hear about in the news are often driven to bizarre acts by the side effects of psych medications. Her books include: The Addicted Brain and How to Break Free; Natural Highs: Supplements, Nutrition, and Mind-Body Techniques to Help You Feel Good All the Time; Supplement Your Prescription: What Your Doctor Doesn't Know About Nutrition; and Eight Weeks to Vibrant Health: A Take Charge Plan for Women to Correct Imbalances, Reclaim Energy and Restore Well-Being. On her website, you can sign up for a free e-book, Reclaim Your Brain. I asked her about phone appointments and she said it would save money to just read the books which will tell you which of her supplements may help.

March 4th, 2017 -William J. Rea, M.D., is a thoracic and cardiovascular surgeon, but he may be better known as an expert in the environmental aspects of health and disease. He is also the author of several textbooks. I owe Dr. Rea a great deal for all I have learned from him over several decades. He is the founder and Director of the Environmental Health Center (EHC-D) in Dallas. (That is a place where doctors from around the world send the patients that they just cannot figure out how to help.) We will start with the negative health effects of chemicals we encounter. The new frontier is understanding how electromagnetic frequencies affect us. He is one of the organizers of the March 18th EMF event listed on our events page.

February 25th, 2017 -One of our favorite guests, Rich Snyder, DO has a new book: What You Must Know About Liver Disease: A Practical Guide to Using Conventional and Complementary Treatments. Modern life takes a toll on the liver, an organ that we may not appreciate until is stops doing its job properly. The same is true of our kidneys. Unless you've had a kidney stone, you might even forget that you own them. We can also talk about Dr. Snyder's earlier book, What You Must Know About Kidney Disease: A Practical Guide to Using Conventional and Complementary Treatments. We have allowed plenty of time to take calls, so feel free to participate.

February 18th, 2017 -I asked Stephen Hotze, MD to be with us. I want to discuss a hormone imbalance that you may be surprised to know affects men as well as women...estrogen dominance. It matters a lot because that imbalance is related to a whole lot of trouble such as: headaches, mood swings, fat gain, fatigue, prostate trouble, all kinds of menstrual difficulties, allergies, autoimmune disorders, various cancers, infertility, ovarian cysts and early aging to name a few. I just learned that he can only be on for the first part of the program, so for now I can just say that the rest of the show will be a surprise...hopefully a good one.

February 11th, 2017 -Even if the only things you "grow" are silk plants, you will be interested in the remarkable results of a study that I will discuss with John Willard. Because we humans are so much like plants, we can learn a lot by paying attention to natural ways to support plant health and speed their growth. My second guest is a return visit by author Judi Zucker. In a previous interview, we covered many lifestyle and nutritional factors in preventing dementia. But, we just scratched the surface of The Memory Diet: More Than 150 Healthy Recipes for the Proper Care and Feeding of Your Brain, that she wrote with her twin, Shari Zucker. We will go into greater depth on how to eat/cook for brain health. (The sisters also wrote other books including The Ultimate Allergy-Free Cookbook: Over 150 Easy-to-Make Recipes That Contain No Milk, Eggs, Wheat, Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Soy, Fish, or Shellfish).
