April 30th, 2016 One of the unsung heroes of health is water. Water industry expert, Paul Barattiero, C.Ped (Certified Pedorthist) explained not only the health cost of chronic dehydration, but also how to make water even more beneficial. Another unsung hero of health is our friend Doug Kaufmann of the popular TV show, Know the Cause. Mainstream medicine is slowly catching up with his message, but untold numbers of viewers and integrative professionals sing his praises a lot for his pioneering work with fungus. He told us about a recent talk he gave to oncologists. Both of these guests are featured speakers and exhibitors at Natural HealthFest on May 7

At the end Bobbi helped me explain some detoxification, relaxation and beauty services that can benefit listeners and which are available locally at the Vitality Life Center (VLC) in Plano. Bobbi, Jenny and VLC will all be showcased at Natural HealthFest on May 7.

April 16th, 2016 We covered a lot of ground starting with Darcy Brunk, DC who helped us understand chronic back pain and issues surrounding back surgeries that fail. He also had information about new studies on congestive heart failure. Anyone can call for information on microcurrent equipment at 972.303.0683 and he told us about a community of energy medicine professionals surrounding electrical medicine, but that is not quite ready to launch. Next we went deeper into the subject of ozone therapy with Blake Miller of Ozone Purity. Because his site lists 100 benefits we only scratched the surface. He also discussed the use of darkfield microscopes which he will demo at Natural HealthFest. His number is 972-702-5455. Our third guest, Kenneth Brown, MD of KBS Research, discussed the patented nutraceutical (Atrantil) that he developed to address a variety of abdominal discomforts that result from an overgrowth of bacteria in the small intestine.

April 9th, 2016 I invited nutritionist / herbalist Tim Mount, CN, CCMH of NeoCellon to talk about joint issues...what causes trouble and which supplements actually work and why. And next, perhaps your favorite physician guest and mine (he is brilliant but humble and funny) John Young, MD discussed vitamin D. (Honestly, vitamin D is such a big deal, there could easily be a vitamin D radio show.)

April 2nd, 2016 Two biologic dentists teamed up to educate us about using ozone for not only better dental outcomes, but also a wide range of problems including sinus infections, deep bone infections, toenail fungi, weird jaw bone lesions, Lyme disease...and, well you get the idea. My dream team included Philip R. Kozlow, DDS from Dallas and Griffin Cole, DDS, NMD from Austin, TX. At the beginning of the show while we tried to reach a third guest, Dr. Hotze, Martie talks about state medical boards attacking functional medicine doctors.

March 26th, 2016 I'm delighted I will have in the studio Jeffrey Fine, MD. He is Chief of Gastroenterology for the Medical and Surgical Clinic of Irving in Irving, Texas. This is your chance to receive expert advice on any kind of health issue, especially those involving the digestive tract. (I might add…what doesn't involve the digestive tract in one way or another?) We'll also cover anti-inflammatory diets...how to treat conditions ending in "itis".

March 19th, 2016 We talked about natural approaches to controlling blood pressure with one of my favorite guests, pharmacist Jim LaValle, R.Ph.,C.C.N. author of Your Blood Never Lies: How to Read a Blood Test for a Longer, Healthier Life. His ideas included of course exercise, stress management and a diet that doesn't raise blood sugar (e.g. knock off the refined carbs). As for supplements he mentioned fish oil, magnesium and a favorite, Kyolic formula 109. (Kyolic has done over 700 studies showing the benefits of aged garlic.) I also discussed a book called Magnet Therapy with Eva Navratil. We talked about why magnets work and the Serenity magnetic eye mask for improving things at the top of the body and the insoles for the other end…especially for diabetic neuropathy.

March 12th, 2016 We pulled a switcheroony. Nutrition professional and radio host David Stouder hosted the show and made me the guest! As I may have mentioned, my new book, The Probiotic Cure is finally out. There is so much stunning news about the crucial role of our friendly bacteria for all aspects of health that I thought an interview might be a better way to get started telling that story. I'm proud to say that David's enthusiasm about the book is legit...I didn't pay him to do this.

March 5th, 2016 One out of every 5 Americans suffer with chronic aches and pains. Over-the-counter pain medications give us a choice of damaging the liver or the intestines. Prescription medications can become addictive. So, what is a body to do? In Every Body's Guide to Everyday Pain, Ya-Ling J Liou, DC (LINK) provides natural answers. (I was tickled to see that my friend Dr. Joseph Pizzorno wrote the forward.) Dallas area chiropractor Dr. Darcy Brunk is an expert micro-currents… another pain relieving tool that also helps healing. I mentioned a People's Pharmacy interview about reversing Alzheimer's. LINK to that interview.
