He also had good news about the future.

February 13th, 2016 Baking in the sun to get a tan is obviously a bit risky and tanning beds seem worse. As it turns out, most spray on tans are not such a great alternative either because the chemicals they contain can be absorbed by the body. Bobbi Vitality joins us to talk about all that and what constitutes a truly natural spray tan. That kind of healthful tan that can applied with special equipment (for home or professional) or with a can of instant tan. As usual, (bless his heart) Bobbi has said he will have a terrific deal for our listeners. (By the way, those of you in range of Plano Texas can check natural spray tans at the Vitality Life Center.) Even a nice tan won't cover up poor health because true wellness starts in the gut and shines all the way through to the skin. Kat James, the author of The Truth About Beauty learned those lessons the hard way and shares her knowledge in transformation retreats.

We had TWO heavy hitters this week! My first guest was Steven F. Hotze, MD, the founder and CEO of the Hotze Health & Wellness Center, Hotze Vitamins and Hotze Pharmacy. Hypothyroidism, Health & Happiness: The Riddle of Illness Revealed; and Hormones, Health, and Happiness: A Natural Medical Formula for Rediscovering Youth with Bioidentical Hormones. We are also talked with Michael Greger, MD about his new book with the subtle title How Not to Die: Discover the Foods Scientifically Proven to Prevent and Reverse Disease. Dr. Greger is known for his website NutritionFacts.org. (My guess was right---he did not make a case for a diet of McRib sandwiches and toaster pastries.)

January 16th, 2016 A University of Florida study has found that stress not only causes a desire to eat, but that extra fat can keep the body's stress response from shutting off. We discussed what to do about that with Lisa Lewtan, author of Busy, Stressed and Food Obsessed. Lisa is a Healthy Living Strategist and founder of Healthy, Happy, and Hip, which provides one-on-one coaching, workshops, retreats, and support groups for clients. We talked about comfort eating, cravings and the like.

Just as his name implies, Bobbi Vitality is a bundle of positive
energy. He has spent most of his life successfully searching for natural
approaches to improving health and I have learned a lot from him! We
quickly previewed some pieces of innovative health, beauty and fitness
equipment that will be topics in some future shows. (He deals with
health professionals on them, but I think you'd be interested.) Also,
I've been losing weight without really trying and I want to ask Bobbi if
that could be due at least in part to taking Vitality FX liquid.
I was taking this supplement just for the nutritional value, but I can
see from the ingredients why it might burn fat. We also talked about the
detoxifying Ion Foot Spa which is one of many new services being offered in the Vitality Center at HealthWorks in Plano, TX

I will ask yoga instructor Nina C. Payne to help me understand what yoga really is, how it can help us and how to get started even at home. Nina is the author of the novel, Moments in Time, closely based on her experience with grief and how yoga helped.
Then Board Certified Environmental Engineer, Barry A. Cik, will answer my questions about how to get more restful sleep by choosing a mattress that is free of the chemicals that emanate from even expensive highly advertised brands. I am especially interested in alternatives to fire retardant chemicals that are now appearing not only in the environment, but also in human bodies.

December 19th, 2015 A recent unpleasant experience reminded me of the crucial body-wide importance of what happens in the mouth. I'm glad that our favorite holistic dentist, Philip R. Kozlow, DDS will be with us to talk about a number of dental issues and take your calls. In the second half of the show, our favorite nutritionist, Tim Mount, will explain the role of collagen in the mouth.
